J-law was great, Bale was Great, Cooper was Great (loved him in the uncontrollable laughter scene), but I thought Renner was unbelievable. I have never felt more sympathetic to a character in a movie. I had this hyped up big time in my mind and I think it lived up to it.

Amazing movie. Can't say enough about it.

Best soundtrack of the year.

David O. Russell does it again. I saw this movie this afternoon and I loved every minute of it. It was one of the most well-acted movies I have seen in a long time. Russell is definitely an actor's director and the last three movies he's done (The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, and now American Hustle) has really brought out the best in his actors.

I can't wait to see what project he does next. He's just an amazing writer-director.

You know, I didn't even notice the soundtrack, because everything else was so great. I'll be watching it again very soon and will pay closer attention to the soundtrack!

soundtrack was really good. was kind of annoying because the lady sitting by us kept singing with the songs. not loud or anything but just kinda under her breath.

Renner is an amazing actor. I wish he would start getting the kind of roles Bale/Cooper get.

I've hoped that we'd get another Goodfellas. This movie came damn close.

I think Amy Adams did an incredible job, especially since anything I know her in is romantic comedy type crap.

You need to see some of her other stuff then. She was nominated for her performance in Junebug. She was great in Doubt, The Fighter, Sunshine Cleaning, and Julie and Julia. She's a great actress.

The frumpy cat lady in the FBI office was the hot maid in the movie Clue.

True fact.

Damn the cat lady is Colleen Camp!

She was really good looking back in the day. Check the google images.

Of course, she is 60 now so shite happens I guess.

I felt bad for Carmine and his family. He was doing illegal things, but he was mostly doing them with the best intentions of the town he works for in mind

I would have leaned over and quietly had the following conversation with her:

Me: Can you tell me who sings this?

Lady: Blah blah blah (artist name) blah blah blah

Me: Let's keep it that way.
