I always wanted her to take the powers of someone who was strong and could fly. There were always "just starting her off"
She had never learned to harness her powers.
Though it's sad she was cut, as she had major parts in the first three and deserved at least a cameo.

Well they can't really have her get her strength and flight without breaking licensing deals, or alienating the fans. Ms. Marvel can't be used, and if Rogue were to get strength and flight any other way fans would be bitching.
Back on topic: Ehh not a big loss. She was a horrible Rogue anyways. Too emo not enough gung-ho. It's too late now of course and she's also too young at this point in time ,but if they end up scrapping the whole thing and starting the X-men over I would cast Chloe Grace Moretz as Rogue.
