This isn't really any help but here is someone else reporting the same issue last month.

No solution was offered and the person didn't post much outside of simply reporting the problem.
I always have my PS4 in standby and I've unplugged it while in standby and moved it to 3 different TV's since I've had it. It never made any sounds.
Have you tried emailing or calling Sony support?

No I haven't called Sony yet. I probably won't bring it with me and call Sony when I get back. The system works fine when it is plugged up, but I was curious to why it beeps unplugged. The first time I thought I was hearing things until I tried it again.
