The oven will be perfect. I have done a few of these. I am sure you will get some good tips. I remembered doing a coarse salt and pepper rub, putting it into a hot oven for a half hour, then reducing the heat to about 225 for a couple hours. I used the pan drippings to make a jus. Good luck with it!
