Any of you wear surgical or similar type gloves to clean game? Thinking about giving it a shot next time I skin a deer. Cleaned a doe this weekend and felt like I washed my hands for 30 minutes trying to get the meat and fat off.

Latex free gloves I use are purple and have a texture on the palm and fingers so your knife doesn't slip. I use a tighter size so the rubber doesn't roll and tear.

I get them from work. I think they're named purple something.

No

My roommate just told me he wouldn't go chop wood right now because he didn't want to get blisters on his hands

Have done it both ways. Prefer the feel of no gloves, but understand dealing with the cleanup. It's kinda like wearing a jimmy hat, the feel just isn't the same.

Yes I do. So much easier to clean up afterwards.

I wear Surgical gloves when cleaning fish. Can't be going work in the hospital with nasty fish smell on my hands.

Well in the spirit of this thread and the OB, after I've killed my deer at 1,000 yards with my .30-30, I clean it nekkid and then fap with habanero sauce for lube.
