Read what he was saying and put it into context. He didn't say that homosexuals will be dog rapers, he mentioned it as a sexual sin along with other things. He went on to say that he's not anyone to judge them and that he'll continue to love them like anyone else.
And his overall point is that you don't have to change your entire life based on a sexual desire or temptation. I didn't hear him say things about gays not being born that way or whatever because I would have disagreed with him, but his point and one that I agree with is that a sexual desire should not define who you are as a person - gay or straight. If you want to have sex with another man, that is none of my business. But, if you ask me my opinion on it, don't get upset at my answer especially when I tell you that I won't treat you any differently than anyone else.
