How much longer will Les Miles be here?

One of the major discussion points re: Saban's future was his age. He's 62 years old and likely only had about 5-6 years left in the tank, at the most, which was why people thought this might be the year he leaves Alabama for one last move.
But what about Les? He's right behind Saban at 60 years old. I think he'll retire at a later age than Saban will, but it's just odd to me that Saban's age was a big focal point during the Texas hoopla while at the same time, it seems like Les has a good 10 years left in the college ranks.

10 years would take him to 70- there's no way. The stamina required to recruit and compete in the sec is too much at that age. I say 4-5 more seasons max. He retires, takes an admin role and enjoys his family.

As long as season tickets continue to sell out and he has over 9 wins per season and we are in the hunt for the West and a SEC Title every year??

Les looks like he's enjoying himself.
Saban looks exhausted.

Not that many more. Saban is waiting for Les to retire so the LSU job will come open

My guess is around 2020. The kids from 2014 will be here till 2017 at the latest and 2017 we have Dylan Moses so I think he sticks around for at least til 2018.
Two titles then retires.

A silly question demands a sarcastic answer..."Long as he wants to be or until he gets run off"!

Saban made a mistake, he should've left. Maltzan, sumlin and miles will give him hell the next several years.
He may not win another mc again.
Certainly not next year. 3 losses
His philosophy is sound and great, but he HAS to HAVE the best players.
Wait til maltzan and sumlin get their recruits.

Spurrier is 68. I think Miles can carry on until at least that age.

Not just age to be considered; overall health will affect stamina and focus. I have heard that Saban has coronary artery issues that are not talked about but that could affect both his coaching longevity and his life expectancy, especially with the lifestyle that coaches keep.

Hopefully as long as he wants

Will really depend how LSU does In the next 3-4 years. If LSU slips to consistently at the 4-6 range in the SEC or worse, Les will get the Mack Brown treatment.
Ironically his career path is very similar to Mack's. Won his first NC and 4 years later lost by double digits in his 2nd nc appearance and undefeated season to Bama/Saban.
That said, Les is more passionate than Mack, and I think he rides out this contract through 2019.

les graduated Michigan w/ an economics degree. one of the top iq degrees. les is smart. iq usually remains static throughout life. les can leave at any time and will not take a bunch of shite from the bos and the rant! he will stay as long as he thinks it serves his economic interests.
his winning percentage is indicative of his cognitive abilities (not iq) which do continue to grow w/ experience. the future is actually bright for him to continue and improve his winning percentage.
I hope he stays forever, or at least until I die.
