Anybody else starting to think if Saban doesn't go, he has lost more credibility
Given how many times he's said that he regrets how that situation played out when he left Miami, he'd have to be the greatest a-hole in the history of assholes to go to Texas after saying he's staying at Alabama until he retires.

A guy takes a moment to think out his career move and you think he loses credibility? He's not a fan nor alumni, everything he's doing is career based.

His antics? What has he actually done?
Playing the same game most coaches do. Saban does it fairly often. Flirting with someone else for money.

It definitely doesn't help. Shitting the bed in the iron bowl, now playing games for more $$$$$$$$$$...... kinda sucks

He doesn't care.

Joe lines would never shat upon the entire state of Bama and the good hearted Christian fan base like saran has continually done. The man deserves his shot

Hes a grown man. He can do whatever he thinks is best for his family. We Bama fans will deal with it one way or the other. He has lost no credibility in my eyes even if he did seriously consider leaving for Texas.
He cant just say he is considering another job or even hint that he is during the season. That would be much more of a dick move than lying to protect the morale of his team he CURRENTLY coaches.

His antics like going on 60 minutes, acknowledging he handled the Dolphin departure wrongly AND THEN STATING HE IS STAYING AT ALABAMA? Those antics?
Posted on 12/11/13 at 10:00 pm to The ATL
He never had much credibility to begin with.

His antics of recruiting his butt off for alabama, putting together perhaps his best class? That bastard

Mark Richt has lost control of Nick Saban's credibility

TX has dropped the ball, Saban was seriously considering it until the story was leaked and all the BS with Mack going down. He wanted it to happen as quickly and quietly as possible bc he knew he would look like shite for doing it after the statements he has made. He is going to play it up to squeeze some more $ out of bama but at the end of the day he is staying put.

Bama folks are like the wife that's OK with an open relationship, except Saban's the only one allowed to frick around.
At least this time he's keeping his mouth shut about the whole thing.

Why would you be infedelious when you have an OT 9.5 for a wife?

“Every year it’s something. Last year it was the Cleveland Browns,” Saban said Thursday night on his weekly radio show, according to AL.com. “And, quite frankly, I’m just too damn old to start over somewhere else.”
From the WSJ 2 weeks ago:
Some reports said Terry Saban had been house hunting in Austin. Asked if these reports were accurate, Terry Saban called them "rumors with absolutely no foundation."
"We're staying," she said. "We're not going anywhere."
How exactly does he lose credibility if he doesn't go? Seems the exact opposite to me.

What credibility in this area of life does he have?
This is exactly it. I don't understand how anyone (Bama fans) can try to claim he has any credibility in this area or that he can be fully trusted if he says anything. In fact, I think that he is doing what is in his best interest and can do him the least harm by keeping quiet right now. If he stays, he can claim that there was never anything serious enough worth responding to and if he leaves, he can claim that he was taking the time needed to give this the serious consideration that it deserved and that he was continuing to do his job in the meantime. The only thing that he can accomplish by opening his mouth to the media right now is to add fuel to the fire.
