Certainly UM and Dantonio would be prime targets if Saban actually did leave.

Nope

Dantonio is 57 and has health issues. Urban Meyer is not going anywhere. Would be a lateral move to a harder conference with even more unrealistic fans (we know he can't handle that).

UM doesn't want anything to do with the SEC. Remember he was about to die and had to quit coaching and all of the sudden he is back

Dantonio would be awesome anywhere. If Les leaves in the year or two he'd be my top choice at LSU. He is a Saban protégé, wins with defense and his teams are just tough. However, he signed a contract recently naming him "Spartan for life". He doesn't strike me as the type that would bolt just for money.

I would think that they would promote Smart, but what about David Shaw. With the success he's had at Stanford he could probably work wonders at Bama.

If the Bama position comes open, I believe James Franklin should be at the top of the list. What he has done at Vandy is pretty impressive but it probably won't happen.

Meyer bailed on the SEC; I doubt he wants to make things harder on himself.

Meyer isn't going anywhere. Dantonio, I doubt he'd leave the Big 10. He had some heart issues a couple years ago.

He's been at Mich. State. since Saban was there. He was an arse't under Saban, I think I'm right when I say that. I think he's content where he is.

Neither would go. Meyer's "heart palpitations" would suddenly start up again.
