If Saban says no to UT, I have to imagine that he retires at Bama. I would bet big money on it.

But if he stays he will still retire soon. I say fire him and get someone new in as head coach.

Problem with Saban at Bama is he will never be the best coach Bama ever had. He could win 5 more titles at Bamma and still not be better than Bear. His ego wants him to go down as the best coach in College football. He needs to go somewhere and win another title.

For sure.

If he goes to UT, I could see him coaching another 7 or 8 years.

word is one more year and retire then Smart takes over. I honestly just want one more year to hold onto this class. Its really special and we finally have key pieces in this class such as Hand and others. If we land Humphrey and Tabor we ar good to go. I don't mind him retiring sfter next year but I don't think the job should be handed to Smart. We need to see how many big names would be interested. I wonder if Del Rio would be interested since his son is on campus?

I agree with this. I think this is it for him unless he were fired from wherever he is next and that's highly unlikely.

I still think he stays at Bama in spite of his history. I think Saban doesn't want to move, but Sexton is using UT as a negotiating tool to get him more money where he plans to retire. I also don't think Bama has to necessarily offer him a deal equal to UT to get him to stay. I hope I'm wrong. I want him gone and this coaching change would be fun and interesting to watch for a variety of reasons.

I also agree with you that Saban is better than Bear. I hate it, but I agree. College football today and college football in Bear's days are not of the same caliber. We'll never know how Bear would have done in today's world.
