I can deal with a little rain, but the cold I can't do, especially in a yak.

The day after Thanksgiving I had ice on my yak when I woke up. It was cold and pretty windy, but it wasn't bad at all. I had a couple layers on under my rain gear and I stayed dry. Hell, I even wore crocs.
You actually stay warmer on a yak than a "real" boat because you never go faster than 5 mpg and you can stay out of the wind a little sitting right on top the water.
