Then there is the punter, kicker, and longsnapper. That's 25 specific positions

Yupp.

plus depth. One would prefer for their backup athletes to also be on scholarship .

25 per year is plenty. Some schools add walk ons to their scholarship roster to reach the total. and some schools trim the fat every year to make room for 25 for highly touted recruits. We're all different

With 85 ships. 25/yr seems like a good number than can give programs flexibility but also competition each season

The year of the elite skilled players and we sign as many as we can but

With 15 solid commits 4 are linemen and Willis will make a 5th. [linemen make 9 of 22]

At this point we have 3 DB's committed and 1 expected and maybe Adams. That would make 5

At this point we have 3 WR's and hoping for 2 more maybe a 3rd. That would make 5 maybe 6 one could flip and play DB [Chark]

Losing Hootie at this point does not bother Miles I can promise you he knows he has plenty of skilled players in this class. He will find some linemen to fill those voids, losing a few skilled guys maybe a good thing and open a spot or two for the big guys.

We may lose a few of our target recruits [don't think so] and so be it, if they do not want to be TIGERS in January then let them go be TIGER BAIT
