Why? Because I grew up in Louisiana as a Tiger Fan, and it would mean something to me to represent my state and play where my friends and relatives could come out and watch me. Plus, I would recognize the great success LSU has had in getting players to the NFL. I would also realize that if I decided to have a post-football career in Louisiana, having played for LSU could provide opportunities that I might not otherwise have. And then there's the reason that LSU commit/signee Brandon Harris gave – that when he succeeds and reaches Hall of Fame status, he wants to be in the Louisiana Hall of Fame, not in some other state’s Hall of Fame. (You’ve gotta love the way this young man thinks!) I guess it comes down to having pride in where you come from. Now, if I wasn’t from Louisiana, some of those reasons would not apply, but I would still recognize the great football tradition, the NFL pipeline, the world-class educational opportunity, the outstanding facilities, and the Tiger Stadium Game Day atmosphere that’s second to none. And that's not even mentioning the fact that I truly believe the combination of Head Coach Les Miles, Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron and Defensive Coordinator John Chavis is as good as you’ll find in the business. Just my two cents.
