how does the 7mm-08 compare?

I don't know yet. I'm not that familiar with the caliber enough to know specific ballistics. I got that caliber because my boy will outgrow a .243 fast. I wanted a round that he could shoot for a few years. 7mm-08 is a hot little round and is pretty flat shooting, but a short distance round from what I have collected.

B&T, Don't limit the 7-08 to being a short range only rifle. W/ adequate practice and the right components, it'll handle longer shots just as well as a 260 Rem, 308 Win 270 Win or 30-06.
