It's called overkill or oversaturation.
Think about bowl season. Most people watch the first 3-4, get sick of them around Christmas, and then watch the big ones on New Years. It's too freaking much and I have to have some kind of life outside of football. At some point somebody in my family is going to want to watch something else.
That's how I feel about football. I'm busy on Thursday trying to finish my week. Besides, I'm about to get involved for 72 hours straight.

I watch the SNF game off and on on my computer. If it's a good game I watch on TV. If not, I spend time with my family.
