With a kid it's always hard to understand how they will react emotionally as they place great importance on things adults might consider foolish / childish. At the same time it's great to see emotion like that as you know the kid has a heart. But after they reach their teens I can understand only when it's something they have a vested interested in and or participated in. I have no problems with an active participant being upset over a loss, or a great win, but for a casual fan it's a little much.
