Why Doesn't the SWAC Participate in the FCS Playoffs?

Money is the bottom line. They will probably make more in the Bayou Classic than they would make in several playoff games that they would not host. The Ivy League doesn't participate in the playoffs either and they seem to be fine, although some ivy supporters would like to see it change.

The real reason is $$$$. It costs money they don't have to participate in the playoffs and in years past it has conflicted with the Bayou Classic which they actually make money on.

Money, grambling and southern makes ALOT more money in the bayou classic than they would in the playoffs. Some hbcu schools could legitamtely compete. Most would see a first or second round loss every year
