I shut the water off to my barn and blow it out so I don't have to wrap anything there. I made an adapter that I can hook my air compressor up to one spigot. Then just walk to each spigot and water trough open til only air comes out.
All I have is a cheap $65 harbor freight compressor.

And I turn the pressure on the compressor down to 60psi. Just to make sure I don't blow a pipe apart at the normal 120 psi the compressor is set at.
