After Brees pull off this victory in Seattle this weekend will this make him a frontrunner for the MVP? Him and Peyton stats are for the most part identical besides Peyton having only 8 more touchdowns....I say beating the Seahawks in arguably the hardest place to play(in the NFL eyes) should catapult him ahead..what say you?

Its the one thing he is missing in an outstanding career.

He will get one eventually, book it.

Well, that would probably sway things Manning's way.

Unfortunately for Drew, he will probably have to pass for 5100 yards, 51 TDs, QB rating of 125.00, complete 75% of his passes. That should be what it takes for him to win. He also might have to magically heal a teammates torn ACL on live TV. That should put him over the top.

frick the media and the Mannings.

There is no way that Manning doesn't win the MVP. Why? His name is Peyton Manning.

At some point and time the rest of the league will have to start recognizing his greatness. The dude is 5th in passing all time and no one thought he would surpass that while he was in San Diego.

I guess i'm speculating on other people's thought processes, but I really do get the feeling sometimes that people around the league feel like what Brees does on an annual basis (especially since his arrival in New Orleans) is accomplished somehow with smoke and mirrors. Almost as if he's not as good as his statistics say he is.

Drew will have a chance when Manning retires.

Brees deserves it. Take Peyton off the broncos and they are still a playoff team with a decent qb. I don't think saints are a playoff team without Drew. fwiw imho

I've just accepted that Brees won't win an MVP, everytime he has an unbelievable year somehow someone even better comes along that season.

Manning deserves the award just based on stats, but the funny thing is imo it'd be his least remarkable of the MVP seasons he's had for me. The weapons he has in that offense are unbelievable

Drew needs a big win this week with over 350 yards passing on the road- the rap on him seems to be he doesn't play as good outside our dome.
