I would support this on the condition that the refs have to repeat what the penalized player said.

"Personal foul, number 88, Dallas, for calling #9 of Dallas a 'Crack arse count mutha fricka.' Fifteen yard penalty. Fourth down."

OK, obviously this sounds stupid, but it might make sense from a business perspective. The way everyone is miked up, you can hear a lot more of what's said on the field than you could 5-10 years ago.

If the NFL decides to go along with this, maybe they do so and say they are trying to "keep it clean for younger viewers"?
