Some of our juniors are basically assumed to be leaving. Would any stay for the prospects of playing for that elusive national title they almost had? Do y'all think that anyone on offense (OBJ, Juice, Hill) would even remotely consider coming back to help out Jennings/Harris/Rettig(?) next year? On defense if we at least got one of Freak and Ego to come back that'd be huge. If we could get some key guys to stay we can definitely make a run next year. I know it's wishful thinking but with how our defense performed last night but it gives me a lot of hope for what the team could be like next year!

The only one I can see staying is Landry but I think even he is a long shot to stay.

Let's say you're a free intern, training for a job. A company in your dream field comes along, offering to pay you a salary somewhere between "a lot and a shite ton." Would you stick around to help out?

If Mett was back, I could see all these guys staying for a title run. I cant see OBJ or JL staying with a brand new QB coming in.

Landry and beckham are gone. Both are potential 1st rounders, no later than 2nd to early 3rd. It would be selfish to let them risk injury when there stock is so high, and you are breaking in a very talented but new QB in the SEC. Defensively everyone should come back although they may not. Johnson nor ego can even sniff the 1st round right now. Likely 3rd to 4th round. Ego, who has clearly had the better season of the two, with a shot at the low 2nd or early 3rd if he test well.

You never know...Saban had the leaders of his offense and defense come back - AJ + CJ Mosley. Then again, that's Bama. We haven't even been keeping guys that don't get drafted.

I wouldn't count on any of our big time Juniors coming back next year. We have the potential for a NC run if they did, but realistically with a new offense I think we have about the same ceiling as this year except the strengths on either side of the ball will be reversed. If all the expected guys leave I think we go 9-3 next year. 2015 could be a different story.

Landry may, but I just hope Freak, Ego, and Rasco come back.

With the new rookie wage scale, I think we are all in agreement you will see more guys go quickly because the difference between the contracts the guys in the 1st 3 rounds get really isn't that huge. An extra year of getting paid and being one year closer to that lucrative 2nd contract however can be huge.

ETA: Y'all are talking about Anthony Johnson being a disappointment and that he should stay, but it wouldn't be even a little bit surprising if he goes. He has to know that he will be a Combine hero and therefore jump up draft boards.

Mosley wasn't officially a starter last year, so I think that is why he came back, and AJ barely had any draft stock at the end of last year (people credited the O-line for his success).

If they are sure first rounders, I can understand someone leaving. Otherwise, let's take a different route and have these guys stay.

Landry and OBJ should go. Collins I have no idea, not sure how he is projected. Freak and Ego I guess but don't see how we have two mid round guys who have played as bad as they have at times. There are guys we play almost every week who are as good or better than them.

NFL money plus the fact that they have seen nothing from Miles during their tenure here that would indicate he is capable of leading them to a NC. Hard case to make for them to stay.

It seems some people don't realize that not everyone can be a first rounder. There are only 32 picks in the first round and some guys will never improve enough to warrant first round selection. That along with the rookie wage scale and you get a lot of kids not wanting to stick around.

would be nice if ego came back. i think he goes anyway sorta like logan did last yr.

i could see juice staying but im pretty sure he gone and rightfully so.

we'll be ok at rb. magee. fournette, blue will be like that 2010 richard murphy (had a huge blitz pickup on one of those 3rd downs yesterday) possibly hilliard.

im excited to see the incoming wr's and see id diarse and spears can emerge. would be nice if boone had one more year.

I think LSU should have players agree to a contact to stay 4 years if they come to LSU on scholarship. It's selfish of the players to want to leave. They are leaving their poorly paid head coach in a tough spot. They should have loyalty to Miles over money.

Everyone on d should come back if they have eligibility. Hill Landry and becks can't raise their draft stock. Cya.

I hope the online comes back. That will go a long way next season. Even if we just lose Collins, the line should be a force.

Only one not going that has been mentioned is Rascoe. Trai Turner is gone too. Elliot Porter wants to come out as well, but is being advised against it.
