Why does this section of fans never show up?

It's been discussed a lot on here but this section of fans are never here. It's an eyesore every home game and it's the same group every time. At least the upper deck people have an excuse, it sucks up there.

if I am not mistaken that is the section designated for the law school students they never show up to games I guess they're too busy studying

I would sit there. I may even pay a few bucks.

Thats part of the student section. The number of student tickets needs to be reduced.

I think all the students cram down to the field as much as they can

it's grad and law school seating I believe.
and the regular students always just pack the bottom, leaving the top to look empty

Looks like shite. Student section is open seating. Why would anyone go way up there. Fix it TAF.

Stadium was much fuller come kick-off. Stadium was pretty empty when we were stepping off

It's such an eye sore. Every game, that section below the scoreboard is empty. Just sell the seats. There is no excuse for having that embarrassing empty section every game. Keep the same amount of student section tickets, but just sell those seats to the public.

That's a part of the student section but nobody wants to sit there so they go towards the main part. Ive say right there and it isn't the same as sitting in the main part of the student section.

I guess none of you have ever worked in a ticket office or for a stadium/team before....
Those tickets are blocked off for students. Obviously students all try and cram down as close as they can and fit twice as many people on a row than they should.
The ticket office has to make a decision a week or so before game time, "will the students fill the section". On big games like this they generally give them the benefit of the doubt, they aren't in the business of predicting weather. That being said, if there are 30,000 student tickets allocated it is likely for most games they will only actually have 20,000-25,000 seats allocated for them and they will cram into them.
They actually do sell those tickets up there for a lot of games when they don't think the students will use them but three things happen.
1. Nobody buys them: If students aren't willing to use their pre paid $12 ticket to sit there what makes you think people are going to pay $40+ to sit there?
2. People buy those tickets just to get in and go sit with their friends: Very common, buy an extra ticket for a kid or a friend ect... Just walk in and go sit with everyone else that you know
3. People don't know they're available: Happens a lot actually, not enough people think to even check with the ticket office for seats because they assume it's sold out

Look how dense the student section is compared to the rest of the stadium. They could easily spread out and fill those seats and still look better than the rest of the stadium.

Do high school coaches still get in on their LHSAA card, and if so where are their seats? Seems like from year ago, that looks pretty close to where those seats were located - north end zone beneath the scoreboard...
