They play in a top heavy division

2 cupcakes right there twice a year - 4 wins
AFC South - worst division in football - 3 wins right there and indy has not looked like world beaters lately.

rams x2-4 wins
cards x2 - 6 wins
jags - 1 win
titans - 4 wins
texans - 2 wins
Vikings - 2 wins
bucs - 2 wins
falcons - 2 wins
giants - 4 wins
colts - 7 wins
49ers x2 -6 wins
carolina - 7 wins
saints - 8 wins

67 wins

falcons x2 - 2
bucs x2 - 2
panthers x2 - 7
jets - 5
Pats - 7
Bears - 6
niners - 6
Bills - 4
dolphins - 5
cowboys - 5
cards -6
rams - 4
seahawks - 10

76 wins

which schedule looks tougher? Keep in mind we played a falcons team at the beginning of the season when they had all their players. They played carolina opening day before carolina really started to gel. They also played a lockerless titans who are worse than their record appears now

and this is not to dismiss them as a legit contender, but people act like they are UNBEATABLE

they have been very fortunate with a week schedule and a late bye...great combination there.

They are every bit as good as the other NFC contenders, but again. They are still overrated because they're treated like they are soooooo much better.

Losing Sproles, Jahri, and Jabari ain't gonna help us when we play Carolina or Seattle.

At this point people are splitting hairs and the thread is little more than 'rawr teams that are in competition with the Saints for homefield are overrated' -- generic hate for hate sake. The Seahawks are a good team. A very good team. Their performance against common opponents is virtually identical to the Saints. Do they have flaws? Of course... but so do the Saints.

People said the Vikings were overrated in 2009. Well, they weren't. And were it not for a few boneheaded errors on their part they could have easily won that NFC title game.

Saints have to take care of business on Thursday and beat a beatable Falcons team first. The week after that we'll know who the better team is between the Saints and Seahawks. Personally I don't have a good feeling about the game as the Saints haven't really faired well against competitive teams especially on the road.
