The books are long, but so well written that you will tear through them, especially book 3. ;)

I can see how an amateur watcher would think that, but there's nothing in the show that indicates that he is. He simply wants his whores in tip top shape, and he'll personally instruct them. Really liked that scene with him and the whores in Season 1:

"whoremonger" doesn't mean he uses whores. In fact, I think the one thing he is honest about is how much he is in love with Cat and how other women just don't do it for him the way he thinks she would.

Whoremonger means he is a whore dealer, which he is.

I'll hate who I want to hate, but I needed something to spark this 5 page thread so I can talk about this show I've been missing out on

When I first watched S1 as a total Hodor I felt like the show made him look like he was into whores, especially in that added scene that was in S1 E7 that was so not in the books and was overly gratuitous . But upon S2 & S3 and reading the books I realized that he strictly used his whorehouses to get information and spy.

I never got the impression that littlefinger actually used his own whores. TBH, I thought he was gay at first

I could definitely see that, considering how he dressed, how he had his hair cut and beard trimmed.

Well, I mean, the other Lord on the council was a eunuch and... I don't know... Littlefinger looks like a cross between Kenneth Branagh and Cameron in Ferris Bueller.

While a lot of book fans (especially on the ASOIAF forums moreso than here) complain about Aidan Gillen portrayal of LF, I think he's done a good job . And somehow I find TV show LF to be attractive in a weird way. Maybe I'm just weird.

It's not really like he has much of a choice but to fess up to his obsession with Cat. He got in a duel to the death for it, has two large scars over it, and is really the one action that has defined the person he came to be. He feels he got screwed over by a brute Stark, so he goes around bragging that he took her V-Card, thus giving Ned a sullied bride. So no, he's still not honest at all about Cat and has lied about her and to her to manipulate everyone around him.

I want to mention something else about LF that I've noticed that connects to this but I don't want to risk posting something that the show-only watchers haven't seen happen yet. Think I'm going to copy this quote and write my true response in the Crackpot thread.
