If LSU played Bama the first game of 2014 & 2015

How many would LSU win? Any chance they split the games? You'd have I think with a full offseason to prepare, Miles could come up with an effective plan to beat Saban?

No, the first game should be an easy win, work the bugs out, first game jitters over for 1st year starters. Play Bama in October, maybe earlier. If we lose, we have time to win several more games and recover higher ranking and chance for a better Bowl. When we lose at the end of the season, we lose ranking and good Bowls. That's what we did under Matt Flynn, lost 2 games, but, worked our way back to #2 and the Championship Game.

Your rationale not supported here, as we lost last regular season game to Arkansas, won SECCG and got the help needed by West Virginia and Missouri losing to put us in BCSNCG. More about other teams losing than us winning at that late part of the season.

Like that time he had a whole month to prepare to beat Saban?

I have yet to see a Les team that improves over the year. So yeah early would be better.

You know that works both ways? And Saban is better at it than Miles is.
But still, I'd rather get it out of the way early.
