But more is coming in. Last in every category? I don't know, it is topping the list in many categories, such as tech jobs, healthcare, influx of young professionals. I go all over the city every day and I see 'professionals' moving into areas I we all consider very bad (7th, upper 9th, Gert town, Milan) Look at Bywater, completely turned around for the most part and about to have a great riverfront park.
Uptown is pushing the nicer areas north of St. Charles through numerous restoration projects. Even in mid-city near Banks and Jeff Davis, I saw six houses on Cleveland avenue being restored, with classic corbels and lots of older style renovations. These were formerly ran down houses. The city is going in a new better direction right now. So I think the general consensus right now is more positive.

Truth, and it's objectively measurable, but the Fox Mulder is just trolling.

Jeezus, if there were more construction going on you couldn't move around at all. Check out Jefferson, Napoleon, Clay-bawn, By-Water, etc. But yeah, there's still more to do.

yeah Claiborne and Napoleon have been under construction for years. I really like that steep slope you drive on when going down Napoleon towards Claiborne.
