back in those days.. I saw more pintails than mallards all season long..

hunting coastal marshes and rice fields...

changing farming practices, severe drought(which led to more habitat in breeeding grounds being tilled and farmed...

and the crash of the fur market rise in predators..

sunk the sprigs.. not hunters..
