quote:

The LSU Tiger head first appeared on the helmet in 1972 and is still used today. The licensee mark has been used on merchandise. The 2013 mark is a refresh introduced on the LSU Basketball court and uniforms.

I will always prefer the 72' head, but this is so much better than Toonces that frankly I don't care about the changes.

I think this is the first time where I like a new logo better than an old one. Death to Toonces!

I would like the 2013 more if it incorporated more white mane, like the middle one. The 1972 one is the worst... too busy and too indistinct from a distance to be an effective logo.

Middle is the best but you can't go wrong with any of them, IMO

Thank God, Allah, Buddha, Thor, Guthix, or whichever god you worship that we are rid of Toonces

Wouldn't THIS ONE be the best... i.e. the middle one with some symmetry:

I wonder if they will replace the logo on the football helmets with the 2013 tiger head. It's so close it may not be noticeable to some. Maybe they'll change the font.

Someone with skills at photoshop, please put the new logo head and geaux font on the helmet so we can see what the future will look like.

OK, all you picking the middle licensee one--- yes the graphics are better, but the ears are WRONG...a snarling tiger flattens his ears, ready to fight; this kitty is the least mean-looking of the three.

Give the middle one 72's "crazy eyes", flatten his ears, and there's your winner.
