That is great idea.

Those trailers are an assload of money.

Using the Jeep axle means your spare would fit as well,

I can get the spare off the back of the jeep and have an even greater entry angle. I can't fit a 35' on the back with the current bumper I have anyway. I just think I could make it a badass little 6' trailer to carry camping gear , cook ware, bikes, shovel, jack, ice chests, etc. without compromising the limited room I have in the jeep for personel and such.

I think I'm going to go with a full width Dana 44 and run stock gear in it for a while just to see how I like the looks of it. If need be, I'll swap it out later. I'm going to remove the yoke and just let the threads and nut spin.
Anyway, it's decided and I shall begin working on it next week. I'll keep y'all posted with some photos.
