I have been going games since I was a kid in the mid 90s. My first game in Tiger Stadium was against Texas A&M many moons ago. My father never had a parking pass, but we always managed to find a spot after fighting the traffic. I have been in the Tiger Band for 4 years and this is my first year in the student section.
Yesterday, I went with my SO's family who had a parking pass in lot 104 for this game that they'd gotten for this game from a relative. They had tickets in the North End Zone. We left their house in Old Goodwood and were standing in front of the student gate 20 minutes later!
Going into the stadium, we weren't searched, frisked, looked at like criminals, treated like animals or anything. We just walked in 45 minutes before the game and walked straight to our roomy bleacher seats and sat down. We didn't HAVE to stand at any point in the game if we didn't want to. No one spilled bourbon and coke on us, shot us dirty looks because we're sitting where they wanted to sit, just pleasant.
After the game, it only took 30 minutes to get home, the same amount of time it generally takes to get from campus to their house in rush hour traffic. I don't know if I can go back to getting in the stadium 2 hours before the game for A&M to find seats for my friends.

The experience would be different if it was a real team we were playing - especially transit times.

It was Furman afterall brah. Probably weren't too many people outside peddling tickets for the "huge game"

I know, I just remember that even when playing rent-a-wins as a kid, we had to arrive over 2 hours before the game because cops would close off the free lots before they were full and traffic was always a nightmare whether we were playing The Citadel or Auburn

It's nice to not be in a fraternity anymore, isn't it?

Why would a frat have to do this? They have Greek block seating on the West sideline that's never full.

Bid Laden brah...Too many people are just playing scared.

When I was at LSU, there was usually a couple of freshman in shirts and ties trying to block off big rows of seating, later filled in by like-dressed folks. I guess I'm just assuming they were Greek.

They were, but now the frats have their own block seating.

Nice, but there is another step up.
Tiger Den Suite.

Took me 35 minutes after the game was over to get to Seigen Lane. I saw the last play from my seat in the east upper deck...down the escalators...walked to my car parked near the law school. From there, it was 12 minutes and I was on the interstate. I'm always baffled at people who complain about traffic. And no, this wasn't because so many people were gone early...it's like this every game for me.

Sit in lower East and stayed until the final whistle. We park in the Alex Box lot and last night they directed us out to River Rd then to Brightside. It took 45 minutes to get from RR to Burbank. My longest drive home so far this year!
