What are the board's thoughts?

A BCS game is pretty much out the window unless McCarron gets hurt so I don't think that is legitimately the best case scenario

I think a Cotton Bowl matchup with Baylor is terrifying to be honest. I would rather a trip to Shreveport than see our defense against their offense.

10-2 beat Alabama and knock them into the Sugar Bowl. Maybe the Orange Bowl takes LSU.

8-4. Music City Bowl

Worst possible case would be if LSU loses out, finishes 6-6 and may not get an invite. 6 wins doesn't promise a bowl. LSU would probably end up at the bbva compass bowl in Birmingham

Best: Sugar vs Clemson, Cotton Bowl vs Oklahoma, or Texas Tech or Capital One Bowl vs Michigan

Worst: Outback Bowl vs Indiana, Chick-fil-a Bowl vs Virginia Tech or Miami, Independence Bowl vs Duke

I don't want to see Baylor or any fast offense against this miserable defense. I'd rather play VT or some other winnable game.

Win out = bcs at large. Maybe Orange

1loss- cap 1 (unlikely), cotton (possible)

2 losses- gator, CFA, music city, liberty, compass

Best case is we win

Worst case is we come out unprepared again and use 6 timeouts trying to figure out what play to run after a TV timeout

Best: BCS NCG
Worst: AdvoCare V100

Realistically, IMO:
Best: Capital One
Worst: Gator

We really have no idea until we play A&M and Bama, and God willing, beat Arkansas.

If we have 4 losses, having lost 3/4 to end the year, I think we could fall hard

IMO with recent history as a guide it will go like this in the pecking order:

BCS1: Bama
BCS2: Mizzou (if they win out sans SEC CG)
Cap 1: Auburn, LSU or A&M (if we win out)
Cotton: Auburn, A&M, LSU
Outback: USC, Georgia
CFA: Whomever is left from the above group, Ole Miss, Florida, Vandy, Tennessee
Gator: Whomever is left from the above group

I like Outback

They make good steaks and I hear you get a coupon for a bloomin' onion with purchase of Bowl tickets.

Cotton bowl. If we win out we could get a bcs but if think our best chance is if the loser of the seccg has 2 or more losses which is possible.

Best case: LSU wins at least 3 of 4 remaining then plays a Slow 10 team in 1 of the bowls in FL. Likely opponents:
Michigan (never played LSU)
Michigan St. (only played LSU once, 15+ yrs ago)
Nebraska (Haven't played in 20+ yrs)

Worse case: playing Wisconsin in 1 of those FL bowls since that's the season-opener next season.

Worst case: LSU loses to the Gumps & Ughs then lands in Nashville. I foresee an even more egregious phoned-in performance than in the Bowl formerly known as Peach last yr.

Best case: We run the table and Aub. beats Ala. and Aub. loses to Tenn, Ga., or Ark. LSU represents the West and wins SEC championship game against undefeated and #3 ranked Missouri to go to Sugar Bowl against undefeated Ohio State! (Oregon vs Fla. State in BCS title game BTW)

Worst case: We lose all our mo jo and get beat by Ala, A&M, and Ark. 7-5 and the team decides (with all its future NFL players) NOT to play in a bowl game.

I like the best case scenario...

Cotton vs Baylor would fricking blow. I'm pulling hard for Baylor to blow out Texas Tech so we can face them in the Cotton instead
