... I'm not one of them, but Im always curious how these people are able to go party after an agonizing Saints or LSU (or Pellies playoff) loss.

After that 49ers playoff game I think I was in the fetal position for the better part of two hours. Last night I had to endure a brutal train ride back to Boston hearing "who dat?" catcalls from Patriot fans. But there were Saints fans heading out, drinking, having a good time as I slinked back to my room after a quiet dinner.

Whats the mindset?

That takes a lot of restraint not get in a fight after a loss like yesterday.
I cant say i would have held together.

The mindset is that it's a game and whether or not I choose to enjoy the rest of my day or sulk has no effect on the outcome.

If I was in Boston it would be different but I came to the realization several years ago (after 1/9 LSU-BAMA) that I won't let a game effect me like that again. Life is too short for that shite.

Those people view saints football as entertainment. You, as well as myself view saints football as an investment in time, resources, and emotion.

It's an addiction/sickness that I have no desire to heal from.

Fetal position?? Good God man it's a damn game! A childs game at that in which men like Greer make millions of dollars to live comfortably and can't stop a damn football right in front of his face, and he's supposed to be a proffessional. I played this game from a child up to college and know that these guys play their guts out on the field when playing, but afterwards everybody goes on about their business having left everything out there. You should do the same.

I went to a movie right after. 49ers was super depressing though.

The game is entertainment. I had a great time in Athens after the loss.

It is a lot different when you feel your team was cheated

My life doesn't revolve around football, that's how. It's a nice plus when we win, and I may be in a better mood, but I will never let a game determine my well being.

Ask Gronkowski how he was able to party it out after that Super Bowl loss to the Giants. I'd still be unable to function properly

I'm a huge Saints and Cajuns fan and I can count on one hand the amount of times a game truly ruined the rest of my day. Does it suck to lose? Of course. But it's just a game in the end.
