Just out of curiosity, can you give an example where we won a game due to some incredibly blatant calls/no calls? I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Let me ask, how many can you think off that we got screwed and lost, offt eh top of your head? YOu can ballpark it.

The Saints can't control that, we don't have a clue how next game will be officiated, so I prefer to talk about stuff the team can dictate.

Then you should probably remove yourself from threads that talk about the terrible officiating. Not being an a-hole, just making an observation.

One for sure , but you're missing the point. You should be able to name at least one, since they even out and all.

ETA: Don't forget, we're talking about major gaffs in officiating here, not a maybe he was holding, maybe not kind of call. My point is it doesn't happen often at all, which is why there is such outrage amongst the fanbase.

I make it a point in life to always be objective and unbiased. But there is no denying there were some blatantly horrible calls in big moments. Saints will be fighting a close race for the number one seed, which is especially huge this year with Seattle. Losing a game in which the officials played a part in that makes it more annoying.

Also, people were pointing out the horrible officiating even when it looked like the Saints would win. So it wasn't just because we didn't win that this stuff came up.

I can't think of one either way, cause I honest to God don't pay THAT much attention to it.

But... Back to my question about how many times we've been screwed?

It was definitive if you were paying attention and knew the rules.

Not definitive...judgement call!

Live, I saw two defenders move and then o-lineman move on right side of Saints line. On replay from behind the offense though, I think there had been movement on left side of Saints line, which the d-line had reacted to. Then there was discussion about determining in the huddle with your o-lineman about whether they were on board with trying to go hard count. The Saints lineman on opposite side had moved! On the next play, linemen on right side of Saints line moved too, Pats players pointed at him, but did not jump and there was no call!

Repeating it over and over doesn't make it any more right. It is a textbook call on the D that was missed. If that makes it a judgement call for you, I can understand how hours of failed trolling would entertain you.

The defenders that moved got into the neutral zone, causing our guy to move, and that is a textbook call against the D.

You're wrong. The only movement was on the right.

This is gibberish.

Did he cross into the neutral zone? No, which is why there was no call you half wit.

Troy Aikman was pretty clear he thought Malcom Jenkins got screwed on that play where he was flagged for a hit on a defenseless WR.

Jenkins led with his shoulder.

what else was he supposed to do?

it is rules like this that is making the game a little ridiculous these days.

totally unfair for the DB's.

I'm not as upset with the hold as I am with the blown offside call. That took points off the board.

Goes both ways!

Hadn't the movement been on the other side of Saints line, before the D moved and then the O on the right side. Aikman then talked a good bit about how they should have discussed going hard count, because if you do, O-line can't move.

For the record...11 penalties in game, 7 of which were against the Saints.

you mean EXACTLY what happened?

quote:

. Aikman

i guess you missed when Aikman said that the Pats caught a huge break b/c it was clearly offsides

Was this supposed to be a question or a statement? If a question, no, there was no movement on the left side. If a statement, well, it's not a statement.

Completely irrelevant to anything, thanks for bringing it up though.

More irrelevance.

The Saints o lineman on the next play flinched and Pats pointed at him...o lineman...neutral zone not an issue half wit (I like that one). Ref made judgement call not to call it against Saints, but could have arguably!

So not calling it on 4th and 6 when we are PUNTING from inside our own 50 = fricking up the call on 4th and inches when the penalty should have gave us a 1st down?

quote:

Live, I saw two defenders move and then o-lineman move on right side of Saints line.

you're fricking blind. The defender was less than an inch from Evans and DIRECTLY in front of him. He was clearly in the neutral zone

my bad rabbit.

I thought the flag on Jenkins hit was uncalled for.

he didn't launch himself nor did he lead with his head.

that play made me mad. I'm still trying to accept these new rules. This game just isn't the same. It must be frustrating to be a DB in the NFL.

that is already one of the hardest positions to begin with.
