I did get partially puked on at the Oregon game a couple years ago by some chick sitting above me. Her husband did have the decency to buy me a Jerry world beer so all was forgiven.

Tulane, UL-L... both Louisiana Schools that allow Alcohol at their games.

How are these fans handling alcohol consumption and LSU fans can't?

Tulane and UL-L have NOLA and Lafayette constitutencies. The upstate Baptists don't care what they do. The shite would hit the fan north of I-10 if LSU did it.

So is it not possible to go a few hours without a beer? The game can't be enjoyed unless you have beer?

I don't drink at all, but apparently it's an issue for some.

I would venture to guess beer would not be sold in the student section if they ever allowed it at all?

What would they do with 4739571538 students who tried to use fake IDs, kick them all out?

Why does LSU have to wait for another SEC school to do it first?

Because Lsu is scared to head it up I guess.

West Virginia are allowing it and binge drinking is down on game days.

Only 1/2 of the north end zone is students.

You couldn't NOT sell beer to season ticket holders.

Anyway, all of this is speculation.

Beer sales aren't going to happen any time soon.

Most schools are busy expanding their "stadium club" seating areas, they may figure that selling beer in general areas will weaken their ability to sell restricted area tickets.

I quit drinking at LSU games about 10 years ago. My enjoyment of the games themselves has gone up exponentially. I'm not passing judgments on anyone who feels that the need to drink is a requirement in order to have a good time, but if you need to have alcohol at an LSU football game to have a good time, then there may be something wrong with the product on the field.

I agree, If you sell booze you largely fix the attendance problem imo

The attendance problem is a fairly new issue. Selling alcohol wasn't allowed when Tiger Stadium was rocking. And, you create a whole lot of new problems that are more difficult to fix than attendance.

The stands would still look empty with everyone in line for beer.

I can only imagine the outrage on this board paying $8 for lukewarm beer.
