Part of the issue is the tailgating which is a major change from LSU football in the 70's...another part is there is a difference between a 68K stadium and a 92K stadium; the infrastructure hasn't kept pace with the requirements for access and parking...

You used to be able to take a bus from downtown to Tiger Stadium (and there were a large number of them available on both ends)

you could take a train from New Orleans that stopped at a siding by old Alex Box...

those two things alone took care of about 10% of stadium capacity...

LSU needs some intelligently designed and strategically placed parking garages, garages should be built with 15 foot clearance and RV hookups on least two levels in each....

A serious study should be made on bringing back the gameday train from New Orleans

My personal pet peeves- canned music and not enough vendors selling drinks and snacks so we don't have to leave our as often...

You can take the CATS bus in, its called the TouchDown Express.

When I attend a LSU game, I'll drive to the stadium first thing in the morning and park my truck there with all the tailgating supplies. Then I get a ride home. A few hours before the game starts I'll take the touchdown express and head over and setup the tailgate. Don't have to deal with the traffic problem at all. At this point I can decide if I want to leave early to beat traffic, or if the game is exciting I can just take the touchdown express back and still beat traffic. Worth every penny of the $10 spent to avoid sitting in LSU game day traffic.
