Dude he there at the discretion of the school to do a job at any point during the game he can be told you are not doing the job that we want you to do so you can go back where you came from.

Was he being paid by Covington PD or St. Paul's? If he was being paid by the PD then he was working for them not the school. If St. Paul's was payng him then they do have the right to "fire" him.

Mr. Gulf coast tiger when you are on a security detail you are being paid by the entity that you are providing security for. Please tell me that you understand that because if you don't further conversation on this subject is pointless

The LEO is hired by the school AD to provide security. They are not assigned the gig by their supervisor and they only have the right to interfere if:

they are asked by officials

They are asked by game management

There is a disturbance

There is a crime

This guy Short was there as a fan, interfered with the game and then escalated a bad situation into a dubious arrest of two game officials

I wonder what happened before all of this. Were words exchanged with the crew? Were words exchanged between the SPS chain gang and the unauthorized mandeville fans on the sideline. Was short agitated from his buddies and the SPS chain gang? Was gambino agitated from dealing with those mandeville fans?
