johnny Asswipe will be drafted early as long as his play stay good in college. Some teams won't be able to lay off the "Wow" factor. He could do well in the NFL. My concern with him is his attitude, and that shite isn't going to fly on an NFL team.

Mr tiger4178 it just doesn't make sense with the quality QBs that are coming out in this years draft to pick jff. I would much rather see Murray in New Orleans.

re: Kiper's Top 10 QB Prospects: Mettenberger No. 5

After watching Bridgewater through the first half of the Rutgers/Louisville game last night, I can honestly say I believe he's overhyped as well. He made some very poor choice throws. Got me to thinking, what defenses he's facing day in/day out that even come close to NFL? Hell, which ones come close to SEC? Forget the sugar bowl, everybody has a fluke game, and to me its looking more and more like that was the exception and not the rule.

Mett seems legit to me, and for his size and the ability he's displaying this year, has to be considered a top QB in the draft.

Mobile QBs at the college level work, its proven. They work due to the imbalance of talent, however, which does not exist at the next level. There are always exceptions, but just think back to how teams like Oregon fare vs the SEC. Its not just any mobile QB that will succeed at the next level. Mariota and the like Im not sold on yet, even though I can appreciate his skill in the college game. You could even go as far to say Manziel doesnt fare well vs an above average defense. I think most fans forget that 90% of college teams put the best players on offense, and why you see such high scores. Teams with great athletes on defense still negate most scrambling QBs. This fact can be proven by looking back at Cam Newton vs LSU. We were leading that game going into the 4th before they won it (forget stats, he was contained for the majority of the game), and now he's nothing special since teams have game planned for him, and have tape on him.

Easy now, I'd love for tSaint's to draft him and let him sit and learn from Bree's for a year or two...

No, No, No, No . . .

Manziel has very little transferable skills to the NFL.

Not so sure about UCLA guy Hundley either.

Brett Hundley is the real deal. Both from the talent/production POV and the measurables POV that the NFL sticks to so dilligently.

He's probably 6'5 and 235lbs now.

Bet Boyd goes fairly early. He's definitely improved his mechanics.

I predict mett will be the first or second QB picked .
Mett has what NFL teams look for in a qb.
whoa! I say he is the 3rd taken

I think his pocket awareness needs to get a little better, it's improving though each week

Most of his yards required no passing skills. He would just scramble around a lot and throw to a wide open receiver or throw a jump ball to Mike Evans.

He can throw a decent fade, especially to that big receiver, and his ability to evade the rush is second to none, but he definitely makes a lot of throws that, while they work in college and make everybody's highlight reel, would never work in the pros, like this one.

Hundley's not that big. like 6'3" 220, pretty solid dude though. and still fairly young (RS Soph), so I could see a team liking him because there's still some room to grow his game.

It's the un-tangiables that make or break prospects, and I see Johnny Football as having plenty of those in regards to a possible future with tSaint's.

@ "un-tangiables"

Who is perhaps the best "dual threat" QB to ever play at the college level?
With arguably more leadership ability and integrity (un-tangiables) than any other QB to ever play?
Where is he now?

I think JFF will wash out of the NFL, but I'm not discounting his talent at all.
He has character flaws and arrogance issues. He won't take well to coaching.

Mett has more pro upside than all but bridgewater. End of discussion.

Putting Johnny Football over Mett as an NFL prospect is laughable. One is playing under a NFL OC in a prostyle, play action offense and the other....is not.

He will not be ready to start for an NFL team for quite sometime. However, if he gets it together and does things the right way, which I don't think he will, he can do really some special things in his pro career.

I know this is from a different era, but Fran Tarkenton comes to my mind. He was maybe 6 ft tall and 190-200. Manziel is a little bigger than Fran. MN coach Norm Van Brocklin didn't like Fran because he was a scrambler.

I can't see Manziel succeeding in the NFL. His game and size just don't translate. Sure, it looks fun in college, but it would be a disaster in the League.
