if you want to be a "running" quarterback in the nfl, the run/pass balance to emulate is steve young or jim elway. after all, they won super bowls. maybe even fran tarkenton, at least he got to the super bowl 3 times.

Look guy's, I just think Manziel would be worth the risk for tSaint's to take with a certain draft pick position. 2nd or 3rd if available.

He could learn from Brees as a possible long term replacement, or would he not fit in in the meantime as a all-purpose guy ala Sproles?

Just don't see a downside with tSaint's picking this guy up for cheap.

Lol if Jacksonville takes him. They would end up with the first overall pick 2 years in a row.

I'm pretty sure GM's are going to realize that running QB's is not the future of the NFL.

After a couple years of having them the NFL has adjusted pretty well.

Cam Newton is average

Kaepernick is below average

Russel Wilson is below average

RGIII is average

I think we have enough of a sample size on Cam to say this. Kaepernick and Wilson are definitely not below average. RG3 is coming off a knee injury so I'll reserve judgement on him for now.

Both Kaepernick and Wilson are averaging less than 200 yards passing per game.

Wilson is completing passes at a 58% clip
Kaepernick at 56%

THey are both below average qbs

and I agree with your assessment on RGIII. I still think he can be a good QB in the NFL but he will have to change to more of a pocket passer b\c he wont last running the read option

Manzel does not need to be a back up in New Orleans. That's a recipe for disaster.

Mett looks great, and as good as anyone out there. They game looks like slow motion to him.

It does this year. Last year, at times, he seemed very confused.

Johnny Football will take a pounding in the NFL. If Vick and RG3 have been crippled up by the NFL. What do you think they'll do to Manziel??

I think Bridgewater is a bit overhyped. That top 5 looks pretty good. I think there will be some rearranging. Hundley is the real deal along with Petty. I do think in some order Mett, Hundley, Bridgewater, and Petty will end up in the top 5 along with Derek Carr.

I love how everyone skips over Boyd & Mariotta.

Boyd will be right behind these guys......I'm not sure Mariotta will even go this year with this class. He would maybe crack the top 10 this year. He's an unbelievable college qb and could turn out to be a pretty good qb in the NFL, but just from a pure arm strength standpoint he's behind all of these qbs mentioned.

What's the over/under for how long it takes for him to get punched by one of his own teammates?

Easy now, I'd love for tSaint's to draft him and let him sit and learn from Bree's for a year or two...

I don't want that cock sucking asswipe prick representing the Saints. Seriously!
