How could he pass up the opportunity to play Venom? He was a self proclaimed fanboy of the character. Can you blame him? In hindsight, it wasn't the best choice but at the time it had to be pretty sweet.

They didn't like him before he left. He was leaving anyway and then was offered that role and the put it over the top.
Did you see SM3? That movie sucked balls.
