Yeah that's not a bug, that's how it's supposed to work now. It totals more than 100% intentionally. That update to boss battles was advertised by IGG as working that way to allow higher average HB payouts.

Icic, my mistake. I was reading a thread on the IGG forum and they were talking about it a few weeks ago when it first changed.
Some mod posted as well and said it was supposed to stop mid-fight if the boss dies, but the calculation doesn't take into account concurrent damage by other members attacking at the same time. They wanted the new system to allow higher average pay outs, but they didn't intend for everyone in the clan/guild to get pretty much max payout.
