I really don't want to have to star saving for immohtep again. My cupid is lvl 100 and 5/9.

Do you guys think it would be useful to have a tool where you enter all your heroes' levels, skills and talents and it would chart out the best team as far as DPS? Couldn't really simulate a head-on fight, but maybe it would be helpful for taking an open lane in arena?
There are a lot of considerations, like maybe putting Paladin in there will buy you an extra second or two with the increased shrine HP, so that your Succubus can get off a second proc. Or it could tell you whether your shards are better spent getting PD or Ninja or Succubus to the next skill level, taking their individual talents into consideration.
Just something I've been thinking about doing, and it might even be more useful for the upcoming 1v1 torch battles.

I want to try the 1st raid boss, is it ok to do on my own or will that mess something up?

Boss 1? You don't have permissions to do that, and it will tell you that if you press the button.
The guild can only do one boss fight per day, which is why we have to coordinate a time.
If you want to try boss 1 on your own, you will have to start your own guild.

I just got TH17 and my 5th tower. I guess it's time to move away from 40:1 and go to one of the box designs huh?

I've seen those charts, and I have a copy of the spreadsheet calculator with all the numbers. But it doesn't do a couple of things that I think are necessary:
1. It doesn't account for move speed (it just says to "interpret the shrine index with caution" due to differences in move speed)
2. It doesn't account for skill interactions between heroes
For these two things, a simple simulator is necessary. For example, Ninja and GR have similar shrine indexes (which is basically DPS times HP) according to the spreadsheet. But Ninja arrives at the shrine in 10 seconds, while GR takes 20 seconds. For me, an average arena fight only lasts 25 seconds (open lane), so obviously Ninja is much, much more effective since GR only gets to fight for 5 seconds. Another example would be PD, who has high DPS himself, but the spreadsheet doesn't show how his skill improves everyone else's DPS. Would it be more effective in arena to spend 200k shards leveling his skill, or 70k shards leveling Succubus' skill? You can't know without a simulator, and that's the type of question I want to answer.

Yeah what you're talking about would be much more complicated.
Posted on 7/29/14 at 7:58 pm to Casty McBoozer
You could throw in a level 1 hero in arena on defense for a few days, let your rank drop really low, then do some time trials, one hero at a time up an open lane.

Yeah, but if I really hunker down I could probably get a functional version online in a couple hours. But that's a big "if".

I already have most of the info I need. The arena is roughly 2800 units long, and dividing by each unit's speed gives the move time. Position on the start circle makes a little bit of a difference, as does each hero's attack range. I could record some battles and nail down those details.
Pretty much everything else is known. Just a matter of plugging the numbers into a simulator script. Oh, and writing the script.

might has become so hard to come by...
I'm at Earl and its 5k just for an extra 3 gems, 500 hero badges, and 10 shards a day
Doesn't seem very worthwhile

I needed them anyway to fill out my garrisons, though, so that made it more worthwhile.
