Newborn mice. The pet shops sell them as snake food. Newborns that are hairless are called "pinkies," then when they are a little larger and have light fur they are called "fuzzies." Pretty convenient, and they only cost about $1.75. They even sell boxes of frozen ones, but most snakes prefer the live ones.
