Used to put out a few hundred on Catahoula, they work well. I turn must of my old decoys into coots, but I do like the visibility the black/white contrast gives your spread from a distance.

Grew up south of Houma.
Can confirm this is true. Old timers did this as they were poor and couldn't afford decoys. At least in my pow pow's case growing up.
