Funny to me is this- For Spags scheme it was predicated on creating pressure with the front 4 and little blitzing. The rush was abysmal and the DBs were stretched beyond limits. Now we go Amoeba with guys all over the place. Somehow now we are clearly seeing more pass rush/pressure from the lineman primarily... kinda what was needed last year.

Again, that's not really fair to Spags. Spags had to play guys like Smith, Ellis, and Bunkley. It's pretty much a completely different crew rushing the passer than what Spags was putting out there. This year's d-line is much more compatible with what Spags likes to run up front.

Ryan gets the credit for using players to their strength. Malcolm jenkins, greer, and prob before his injury looked much better than they did last year

Gonna disagree Brah.
Spags had Hicks and Galette and Walker and did not use them enough.
He kept Jenkins over Bush and he isolated him as the FS and it sucked bad.
He used Harper a lot in coverage and that sucked worse than Jenkins running in circles in the backfield.
His blitz packages were basic and predictable. His starters stayed in and his bench players stayed benched.
He never changed any thing or any one.
