People rant about EA putting out the same product...NBA 2k14 is 10X worse than any redundant Ea sports game.

It's great as usual. With the next generation soon coming out, I didn't expect much but it's easily the best NBA sim I've ever played. The new assist controls and the on court feel are very impressive. They have definitely strengthened the defensive side of the ball to where you can't just run in 100mph down the lane for a dunk every time.
Downfalls is there is way too much goal tending on both sides of the court and they didn't really fix the problem of players constantly running out of bounds with the ball or on pass attempts.
It has a great feel though.

played it alot last night. Well I played a my player career. That hasn't changed much except that I'm actually playing well this year 
.
apparently the gameplay has changed but they still make stupid mistakes, dribbling ball out of bounds, holding on to the ball with a guy who cant shoot and throw it up at the last second.
but they almost recycled myplayer from last year. Haven't played dynasty or career or whatever they call it yet.

I can't tell you how many times I've been wide open for a fastbreak dunk and end up "flashy passing" it to one of my teammates 
Definitely a great buy though. The ability to actually defend the paint with the new blocking system makes all of the difference.
