An amazingly terrible mistake, by one of of the world's best coaches.

I was golfing on deadline day. When I started the round Ba was headed to Arsenal and that was that, then by the end of my round Lukaku was loaned to Everton and Ba was staying and I broke down in tears (my golf game may have been part of the reason for my crying, to be fair).

I still don't know why we didn't even give him a start and a chance to impress Jose before sending him out and really wish I knew the answer. Oh well, for the time being I guess I will be watching Everton about as much as Chelsea this year because I absolutely love watching Lukaku boss every single person that stands in his way

ETA: I may or may not have actually been crying

If not you should have been. He will be huge for Belgium in Brazil. Was great on his loan spell last year at WBA. He has proven himself. Chelsea really fricked up on this one.

I honestly think that the sole reason for Ba staying and Lukaku going was to keep Arsenal from getting any cover at striker. Jose knew what he had in Lukaku, but he must have determined that it was more valuable to Chelsea to try and weaken Arsenal, than to keep a young, albeit proven, striker to play 30% of the games.

It doesn't seem to be working at this point, but that's just the way I see it.
