Yes, I realize half the world is watching Breaking Bad tonight. I am not.

Nucky becomes more acquainted with Arnold Rothstein during a high-stakes poker game, but the evening yields another potential partner in the Florida land deal. Meanwhile, Van Alden helps Al and Frank Capone on their collection rounds outside Chicago; Dunn discusses business with Valentin in Harlem; and Willie and his college roommate carry a prank too far in Philadelphia.

How so? I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, but it's loosely following some major IRL character's timelines and it seems Nucky is trying to build up something outside of alcohol (we all know prohibition only lasts so long). Obviously not all the ends are going to be tied up 4 episodes in, but it seems there's a decent amount of storylines that have some direction.

Yes it will.

Ehh. I don't like how they portray Capone. Nucky Thompson, I'm not sure was that big a deal.
Lucky Luciano is downplayed quite a bit. Dude was big time. Here he is like some two bit hustler.

Not at the current point in history where the show is.

Well he was just that at the beginning. For the sake of not spoiling anything for others, some other moves had to happen for him to get to a point where he was "big time".

Well Nucky is a fictional character loosely based on an actual person, Enoch Johnson. Enoch was a essentially the "boss" of Atlantic City. What's not to like how they portray Capone though?

Yeah, seeing that coming as well, leaving the college in a hurry most likely. And most likely the girl.

Yeah, and loving Van Alden getting pulled into being a Capone man whether he wants to be or not.

I'm about 25 minutes behind, and this is so nitpicky, but the scene where Van Alden and O'Banion are shooting shotguns... They're shooting double barrels, but after they shoot, they put in a pump shotgun sound effect.
