That conspiracy completely falls apart when you realize the sanctions weren't handed down until 2010. By that time, the SEC had won 4 BCS national championships in a row and USC was on the decline.

Not a fan of Kiffin's - don't really know much about him.
But unless he was purposefully pulling illegal or inethical shite they just found out about, that is not a good way to do business.
They hire him - perhaps they should resign in protest of their own bad judgement.
You make a hire, you treat him professionally unless he goes off the ethical track. You don't embarrass him like thay just because he stinks.
Fire his arse in a professional way - happens all the time in businesses all across the land.
