You have to remember to put it all in perspective. The DB's we had that were so good would not look nearly as good if they were playing with the DL we have now. Also the DL we had that was so good benefited greatly from us having some really good DB's. My point is, it all works together. We have no depth on the DL and our LB's as a whole are very average. We are just really young on Defense. The thing we need to remember is with this offense we will be in every game. I say they start playing these younger guys much more and let them get the experience so that next year our D is back where it was. We going to need it because we will be breaking in a new QB next year but I really believe everything is lining up for us to be very very good in 2015.

Ed paris is probably the closest safety prospect we have seen at LSU to ed reed........he's got great coverage skills and seems to make the biggest play in every game he involved in.

Battle reminds me a lot of Reid.....he is coming to hit you. I think he's a bit behind Reid in his understanding of the position, but he may shock some people.

I think Voorhies ends up in the defensive backfield because we need depth there. I think this kid is the most overlooked prospect in this class. I can see this kid moving to rb if we need him to (if we have a mass exodus of hill, hilliard, and blue) or being a big time safety. He has elite speed and makes a ton of plays. Ideally, i would keep this kid at free safety and let paris play corner IMO.

I don't know much about deondre clark and clifton garrett outside of their rankings and highlights. I have never seen them play in person, which really gives you a different perspective of a player.

tony brown is the fastest corner in the nation and one of the more polished at the position. decent size. unreal 2 sport athlete.

Hootie is a perfect fit at strong safety. He's big, can hit. He's got great instincts. Could be an LB in our system as well if Jefferson and others provide great enough depth at safety.

Kenny Young......I don't know where a lot of people really see him being ranked in the nation, but this kid has probably played in more big games than any other lb in the nation and he always shows up. I think he is a guy that deserves more respect within the state. He reminds me a lot of Darry Beckwith.

Gerald Willis is as good as it gets on the defensive line. He's tenacious. He gets stronger as the game goes on. He plays angry and is disruptive. He's a kid that adds great depth as a true freshman at either tackle or end.

These are the guys I think we have a good chance of getting that should make some impact next season if they commit to LSU. Some because they are talented and some on top of that will be needed to add immediate depth.....may be some young starters in this bunch.
