Also, the Chase came about because Matt Kenseth won a championship while only winning a single race. Ironically, he might win the chase this year with the most 1st place finishes of all drivers, and he has won the first two chase races.

He could also lose it to someone like Junior who hasn't won a single race.
Not likely, but still possible.
